Why the legal fund

Build the legal record before the decision is made.

Our legal counsel will help prepare a formal comment addressing potential litigation points before the Draft Environmental Impact Statement comment period ends on September 23, 2026. This legal backing will strengthen the community's position should this proceed to litigation.

To cover these legal costs, the Working Group is launching a fundraising campaign. The Sweetwater Community Club board voted unanimously to hire an attorney to represent the community.
